Ayse Altinok is a Turkish-born filmmaker whose unique work is characterized by emotional narratives and rich visuals. As a director, for a decade, Ayse has been under the roster of companies such as Ridley Scott Creative Group (RSA Films) Biscuit Filmworks (US, UK) and La Pac (Europe)
With an art education (Majored in Graphic Design at the University of Mimar Sinan / Istanbul) and ten years of experience as an Art Director (prior to directing) at Wieden + Kennedy in both US and Europe offices, she brought depth and beauty to projects from films to music videos to commercials. Her diverse roster of clients features Nike, Coca-Cola, Levi’s, Escada, Electronic Arts, P&G, Anne Frank Museum and many more.
Ayse has been recognized internationally including winning a A La Flip Award, a Van Gogh Award, a One Show Award, Gold Clio, an Epica, an Art Director’s Club Award, an AICP and an Andy Award. Her work has been featured in Luerzer’s Archive, Adcritic, Coloribus, Boards Magazine, Motionographer, Portus Imaging, Shots Magazine and Lookbooks.
In 2009, Ayse’s first short film, “Hortum” was officially selected by 11 Film Festivals worldwide. She won the Special Jury Prize for Best Drama at Amsterdam Film Festival.
The following year, Ayse’s second film “The Particulars” won The Best Drama and The Best Actor at the Oregon Independent Film Festival.
In 2014 Ayse has directed a short film called “A Day At The Mall Reminds Me Of America” this piece was exhibited at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and Figge Art Museum in Davenport. She was nominated for “Next Director Award” by D&AD.
